Eighteen, each judged on its own limits: Beach, Terrace, SUP, Surf, Shelling, Kite, Sailing, Fishing, Drone, Golden hour, Forest, Walking, Hike, Snow, Stargazing, Cycling, Running and Golf. Surf only appears where the sea gets real waves and Shelling only where there's a real tide, but you can still add any activity to a place yourself.

Because the sea there doesn't fit them. For each coastal place Goworthy looks once at a year of wave and tide history, and only shows Surf where rideable waves are common and Shelling where there's a real tide, so you don't get verdicts for waves or tides that never come. You can still add any activity yourself: open the place's settings and switch it on under Show anyway.

For each activity, Goworthy reads the forecast values that matter for it, wind and gusts, waves and tide, temperature, UV, cloud, rain, visibility, snow, the dark and the moon, and weighs them against that activity's own comfortable and safe limits. The result is one clear verdict, Go, Caution or No-go, with the best window today and the days ahead, and it always tells you why: each verdict lists its reasons, like the real wind, rain and feels-like temperature behind it. It is guidance to help you plan, not a guarantee.

Yes. Every place has a 7-day forecast card with the sky, the chance of rain and the low and high for each day. Tap a day for the full hour-by-hour: temperature (actual or feels-like) and the chance of rain, and drag along a chart to read any hour. A day only shows rain when it clears your Minimum rain/snow chance, so a sunny day with a small evening blip stays sunny.

Yes. Search any place on Earth or use your current location, and Goworthy fetches its forecast from Open-Meteo, which covers the whole world. Coastal activities like surf and SUP also need marine data, which is available for most coastlines but not every inland lake.

Yes. When rain or snow is on the way, an outlook appears on the spot: a smooth graph of the next 24 hours (or 8, your choice), with a plain-language summary of when it starts and how heavy it gets, in mm for rain and cm for snow. Press and drag along the graph to read the exact time and intensity at any point. In the Netherlands and Belgium, when the live radar shows rain at your place within the next two hours, the outlook follows the radar. You can also switch on independent per-place rain and snow alerts that warn you about 15 minutes before each forecast shower, at the threshold you choose (any, moderate or heavy). They are planned from the latest forecast, which Goworthy refreshes in the background whenever iOS allows. On a dry day the outlook simply stays hidden.

Yes. In Settings, under Advanced, there is a Minimum rain/snow chance control, from 0% to 50% and set to 30% by default; one dial covers both rain and snow. Goworthy then only shows rain or snow on a spot when the forecast gives it at least that chance, so a low-confidence blip does not clutter a clear day. Turn it up to hear only about near-certain rain or snow, or down to catch every maybe. It changes what you see on the outlook and the sky; the Go, Caution or No-go verdict stays cautious and still flags possible rain or snow, so you are never caught out.

Open the map and you get an animated precipitation radar. In the Netherlands and the surrounding region (Belgium, Luxembourg and part of western Germany) it is a genuine two-hour rain forecast from KNMI: it shows where the rain is heading over the next two hours in five-minute steps, so you can catch a shower before it reaches you. Everywhere else it shows roughly the last two hours of observed radar from RainViewer, animating up to now, so you can read where a system has been and where it is moving. It plays on its own when precipitation is nearby and rests on a clean map when the sky is clear, with a Show radar button if you want to look anyway. In the Netherlands and Belgium the home screen uses the KNMI radar too: when it shows rain at your place within the next two hours, the rain outlook and the Right now line follow it, and after that the regular forecast takes over. Rain and snow alerts keep using the regular forecast.

No. Goworthy has no sign-up and no analytics. Your saved spots and settings stay on your device; the only thing sent out is the coordinates of the spot you are viewing, to fetch its forecast from Open-Meteo.

Each place you switch alerts on for, independently. Goworthy schedules alerts for every place you enable, wherever you are, so casually opening another place to check its weather never changes them. They are scheduled up to seven days ahead and refreshed every time you open the app.

No. Goworthy is for planning and comfort, not safety of life. It is not a navigational, mountain, avalanche or marine safety service. Always check your official local forecasts and warnings before heading into the mountains, the backcountry or the water, tell someone your plan, and turn back if conditions change.
